IMDB Synopsis

Unlike history books tell us, Adolf Hitler did not commit suicide in his bunker, but instead fled to the African continent in his submarine. Teaming up with his new right hand, infamous Japanese military leader Hideki Tojo and the brutal Horse-Man Göring, he plans on conquering the world once again - starting in Ghana. With the might of his loyal (although brainwashed) Ghan-Aryans and his superhuman Karate-Powers, Hitler destroys the African Kung-Fu school of the shadow snake, killing its leader. Grieving for his master, Kung-Fu disciple Addae seeks revenge by participating in Hitler's martial arts tournament. Will he find the strength of body and mind to defeat the evil dictator?

Our Reviews:

A bunch of Kung-Fu practitioners in Ghana attempt to fight off an awkwardly sexualized version of Hitler, who’s using mind control on the population to create a new Nazi army. This movie’s plot is completely nonsensical, but it’s got everything you could possibly want: genuinely good martial arts skills, black magic, a twerking scene in the club where Hitler is acting as the DJ, and a Karate Kid-esque martial arts tournament finale where the protagonist has to fight caricatures of WWII figures such as Hideki Tojo and Hermann Goering.

DJ HITLER DROPPING THE BASS AT A TWERK PARTY.

Hitler retires to Africa to get his grove back, work out and reconnect with old friends like Hirohito. He becomes so chill that he is fine with you no matter your skin color, as long as you wear white face.

One of the best movies of the year.

I think the thing most unappreciated about modern African filmmaking is its commitment to flipping established tropes and genres on their side so we can see our world through their continent's eyes. We in the Eurocentric world have always relied on the "facts" that Nazis fled to Argentina and Brazil after the war to live out the rest of their miserable days in hiding, but what if their connecting flight through Accra, Ghana never left and they also brought the rest of the Axis leadership with them? I'll tell you what happens: they will train a kung-fu army that will clash with local students, that's what!

I'm looking forward to see this win the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.
