Our Reviews:
Before we had the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we had David Hasselhoff playing Nick Fury in this hot garbage TV movie. In some ways, it had the same level of nonsensical appeal as Street Fighter, in which we get familiar action characters played by lovable B-list actors. However, the plot is barely intelligible, the only two characters who are at all entertaining are The Hoff and the woman playing a nymphomaniac-adjacent evil German villain, and the actual action is fairly minimal. It does, however, receive some extra points for the ridiculous extent to which most of the cast wears an all-leather wardrobe.
I was alive and old enough to vote when Hollywood decided, "Let's see if we can make the Hoff a blockbuster action star using Marvel intellectual property," and yet I seem to have completely missed that this film existed at the time. You can extrapolate the remainder of this review from that information.
y tho
This was dumb. Even the Hoff couldn't save this.
Surprisingly self serious considering the whole movie was produced by a San Francisco leather daddy shop.
