Our Reviews:
Featuring surprisingly well-executed cinematography and CGI, The Jurassic Games is kind of like The Hunger Games meets The Running Man meets Jurassic Park. A bunch of death row convicts are forced to compete in a virtual reality game being televised on TV, with only one set to win their life/freedom. Highlights included an approximately 102 lb. stringbean girl inexplicably able to beat up grown men, a Great Value brand Jim Hopper from Stranger Things who we’re supposed to be rooting for, and a man attempting to fight raptors like Bruce Lee using a metal chain that he was previously tied up with. Bonus points for Ryan Merriman (who you might recognize from the Disney Original Movies heyday back in the late 90’s/early 2000s) as the main villain because I used to have the hots for him.
Still more humane than the American prison industrial system.
I think I may have been high for this.
An attempt to mix Jurassic Park, The Hunger Games, The Matrix, and I think maybe Steel Magnolias? Mostly successful.
Interesting take on a prison reform movie. Jurassic Games are no Death Race though.
