The car chase through San Francisco did not have nearly enough traffic to be believable.
No one in this movie knows what biochemists do, where they work, or what happened to the daughter of Sean Connery's character. Can a man just be vaporized? Yes, by watching this movie on repeat and being forced to take it seriously.
I still don't understand why a bunch of soldiers were so dead set on murdering a bunch of innocent civilians out of spite when their extortion plot didn't pan out, but this was still enjoyable, even though Nic Cage was playing the straight man to Sean Connery's ridiculous prison-escaping convict character.
This movie has two important lessons to teach us as Americans: 1. We really need to make sure the Veterans Administration is properly funded and well-run and 2. the City of San Francisco is fully expendable and should not be afforded any special treatment.
Nic Cage, the dumbest motherfucker on the planet, fails to be remarkable alongside Sean Connery.
