When a strange virus quickly spreads through a safari park and turns all the zoo animals undead, those left in the park must stop the creatures before they escape and zombify the whole city.

A bunch of asshole interns show up for their first day of work at a safari park and things quickly go sideways when an infected monkey causes a zombie outbreak. They mostly get picked off one-by-one in increasingly ridiculous zombie animal attacks as they attempt to contain the situation and/or escape the park. My favorite part was when the absentee, workaholic mother who runs the zoo ignores her dopey little daughter long enough that said daughter has to beat a zombie koala to death with a baseball bat, and then the mom just haphazardly wipes like 2% of the blood off her with a paper towel and calls it a day.

This was better than I expected, and forgot all about the little girl hitting that koala homerun.

At this stage in 2020, a zoo with zombie animals feels less like sci-fi and more like "5-7 years away max".

Definitely the best SyFy movie we watched. Could have used more zoombies
